Ambition in Mind CIC

A place in Walsall where young people and families get noticed.

Ambition in Mind is a community hub at Unit 13 Old Square, Walsall, WS1 1PY. We help young people and families build confidence, skills and a way forward, at their own pace, in a place that feels like somewhere you actually want to be.

Not every young person is in trouble, and not every young person is top of the class. Plenty sit in the middle: quiet, getting by, easy to overlook. Then something shifts, and nobody saw it coming. We're here for those young people, and for the families and carers around them.

Crown Club

A programme for care-experienced girls and young women aged 11 to 16, built around confidence, belonging and creative skills such as hair styling and braiding.

Free taster programmes

Short, no-pressure sessions that let people try something new. We've run these with the DWP and Walsall Youth Justice Service.

Skills and enterprise for young adults

Practical sessions on digital confidence, money, and starting something of your own, run at the hub alongside our partner SEVN.

01

Trust first.

People move forward when they feel known, so we start with conversation, not coursework.

02

Shaped by the people we serve.

We ask parents and keyworkers in the area what they need before we decide what to run.

03

Homely, not institutional.

The hub is somewhere calm, welcoming and easy to walk into.

04

Honest about what works.

We track the progress people make, so we can show what is helping and what isn't.

Ambition in Mind is a community interest company (CIC) limited by guarantee. Our assets and profits are locked in to benefit the community. We were set up in 2024 in Walsall by Natasha and Gavin Cameron. Our directors are Natasha Cameron and Michelle Beecher.

Working with a young person or family who could benefit? We welcome referrals. Get in touch and we'll talk it through.
